Luxury Bathroom Remodel

With the changing tile trends of today happening at a record speed
it’s kind of hard to keep up. While marble and natural stone
are still going as strong as ever, the introduction of “wood
look” tile is growing at a rapid pace. Some manufacturers have done
far better at replicating the look than their competitors. Most of
your area specialty retailers will carry the higher-end products leaving
the less realistic looking for pick up at the “Box Stores”.
For the budget buyer, these can still be a good choice for
minimal investment.
For this project, we picked up this Valley Ridge “wood look” product from Turkey,
at Floors and Décor in Atlanta, which actually turned out rather nice for the price. We
installed it in a privacy fence type install on the walls up 48 in. For the main floor,
we installed it in a boardwalk pattern. Changing the material and layout for the upper half of the
walls we decided to go with a 3 x 12 Carrera #Marble Old World on a sheet from
Italy. With the two #niches, we used Solid white granite for the sills. The main niche with recessed
lights from #AspectLED, while the other niche featured a recessed mirror
for shaving, complete with a #WarmlyYours heat pad for a non-fog experience, and yes wrapped with hidden

Now to the ceiling, this is where we really turned it up. First, we framed a barrel ceiling with
a 12 inch flat on each side running down the barrel. The barrel was cut out of
5 – 2×16 to give us enough room for a tight high turn. We installed four, 4-inch
flush mount LED lights, two in each flat part of the ceiling. These were mounted to
solid Galaxy Black granite provided by Southern Stone. Tiling any arch is definitely a chore,
so for this, we turned to our  Columbus, Ga area #specialty retailer #sellerstile.

The Liner product from #Glassco turned out to be perfect. Lastly, we trimmed out the jambs with
a complimenting quartz solid surface provided by #countertopsolutions in Cataula, Ga, sealing the
entrance with a 3/8 in #frameless shower door from
our friends at #LTRglass of Columbus, GA.
As mentioned above, we incorporated the ‘wood look’ tile on the main bath,
installed over a heated floor,

(that Cooper The Cat loved),  with a digital programmable thermostat. Re-finishing the vanity base

with a #Behr product and matching the Solid Black Galaxy granite from the shower
bringing things together nicely. We used #Delta vanity fixtures and metallic-colored vessel
sinks to give a little more room on the top. For the lighting, we went with
LED Touch Control hanging vanity light that gives a very inviting
crisp bright look.

We removed the texturing on the old ceiling in the main bath area
and went with a smooth finish to further the unique features of this
#luxurybathroom. Installing a 6-inch drop-down crown molding complete with
remote-controlled dimmable LED lighting to set your
mood. The exterior niches each house one 2watt LED recessed spotlight for
highlighting your favorite item. With an abundance of light in this
#Luxurious bath each source has its own dedicated control.
The in-shower water experience will prove to be exceptional. With a 10-inch rain head
on a 12 inch down rod, it hangs just below the granite sparkling from the
LED waterproof strip lights. On the left, we have 3 high-pressure body jets supplied by
#delta. To the right is the control panel operating the #delta shower head
and handheld positioned just next to one of two #marble corner shelf seats.
Combining these two #hottest types of tile today produced
an exceptional product that we were proud to be a part of.
